Experienced Cosmetic Formulator

Since 1988, Cosmotec SA has been a reference in the field of Swiss cosmetic subcontracting. Located at the foot of the Swiss Alps, our laboratory puts its expertise and modern equipment at the service of many brands, offering them quality products that promote the "Made in Switzerland" label.

In order to strengthen our R&D team, we are looking for an experienced Cosmetic Formulator with solid experience in cosmetic product development.

Experienced Cosmetic Formulator

Your missions

• Develop and realize formulas in the R&D laboratory according to specifications,
• Propose technical orientations adapted to the various developments,
• Select raw materials taking into account technical, regulatory, client, and environmental requirements,
• Perform and monitor trials as well as stability and compatibility tests,
• Analyze results and make the necessary adjustments in case of formulation, stability, or compatibility issues,
• Prepare client submissions and samples in collaboration with the various departments concerned,
• Establish operating procedures and manufacturing specifications,
• Participate in the industrial scale-up of formulas and provide your technical expertise during the first manufacturing runs,
• Provide technical support to Quality Control and other departments when necessary,
• Participate in supplier meetings, trade fairs, and training sessions,
• Share your experience and technical knowledge and contribute to the R&D team dynamics.

Your profile

• University education in chemistry, biology, physics, or equivalent training,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in formulation, cosmetic product development, and subcontracting,
• Proven experience in the autonomous management of developments and their industrial scale-up,
• Knowledge of Coptis software,
• Very good knowledge of raw materials, active ingredients, excipients, and galenic forms,
• Good knowledge of the cosmetic regulatory environment,
• Autonomy, rigor, and analytical capacity,
• Creativity, curiosity, and a taste for innovation,
• Team spirit and ease in collaborating with different departments,
• Proficiency in French and English.
