To strengthen our team in the Accounting & Finance Operations department, we are looking for a motivated, reliable, and numbers-oriented personality for a temporary assignment of 6 to 9 months, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Accounting Specialist

In this versatile role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the entire financial accounting and contribute to the smooth running of our financial processes. You will participate in monthly and annual closings according to OR, reconciliations, administrative tasks, as well as the continuous optimization of processes and work closely with various stakeholders.

Your mission:

With your structured and reliable working style, you ensure correct, timely, and efficient processing of the financial accounting. You support the team in all areas of finance and accounting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the continuous further development of our processes.

Your area of responsibility:

• Independent management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
• Execution and monitoring of weekly payment and dunning runs
• Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings according to OR
• Support in the preparation and distribution of VAT returns
• Support for the Head of Accounting & Finance Operations in operational and technical financial matters
• Contact person for internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting and finance-related questions
• Participation in internal audits as well as in the further development and assurance of the Internal Control System (ICS)
• Participation in cross-departmental projects and active support in the optimization and digitalization of financial processes

Your profile:

• Completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by further training in the field of finance and accounting
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Good knowledge in the preparation of closings according to OR as well as in the area of value-added tax
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel, as well as a high affinity for digital processes and systems
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working with a strong sense of quality
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to quickly grasp financial relationships
• Committed, team-oriented personality with a pragmatic hands-on mentality
• High level of initiative as well as enjoyment in taking on responsibility and thinking actively
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
