Who we are The area of responsibility of the observation station includes the stationary care and assessment of normally gifted female adolescents between the ages of 13 -18 years, who exhibit severe developmental disorders and deficits, but also resources and potential in different respects. An observation stay usually lasts six months. The remuneration is based on the cantonal wage law Basel-Stadt. Something more concrete: areas of responsibility in the social pedagogical area • Social pedagogical and socio-therapeutic care and accompaniment of the adolescents during their entire stationary observation stay • Self-responsible assumption of tasks as a contact person for one to three adolescents • Design of pedagogical-therapeutic relationship work • Parent work and counseling • Cooperation with the representatives of the referring authorities/specialist agencies, the external teachers or employers as well as possibly other persons of the social reference field of the adolescents • File management, written intermediate reports and comprehensive written pedagogical clarification report • Administrative and organizational tasks in the care work • Participation and co-design of the various internal meetings • Planning and implementation of internal program offers as well as guided leisure activities • Household and environmental work What should you bring? • Age between 25 and 52 years • Completed vocational training in social work (social pedagogy) HF/FH or other recognized training • Experience in stationary youth work • Motivation, flexibility, reflectivity and resilience • Joy in working with female adolescents and in shift work • Very good oral and written expression skills
