Bern, Switzerland \| 80-100% Your contribution <br /> • Process air passenger data (Passenger Name Record, PNR) such as correspondence, watchlists and risk profiles and coordinate the exchange of information with national and international authorities • Provide advice and support to national and international authorities as the contact person for the Passenger Information Unit (UIP) • Lead, in operational service, a team composed of two to five people, coordinate interventions and adopt immediate measures even under pressure • Contribute to the further development of the information system, present operational requirements and follow tests and adaptations • Coordinate the connection of new air transport companies to the information system and follow the commissioning • Provide advice to internal and external partners regarding technical and procedural issues <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • Professional certificate as <<police officer>> or equivalent higher education in the security sector • Management experience or in the technical leadership of employees • Interest in the further development and application of information systems as well as in criminal prosecution, operational processes and police tactics • Good knowledge of at least two official languages and good knowledge of English • Availability to work in shifts and to perform on-call service <br /> In summary In the Passenger Information Unit, thanks to your commitment, you will contribute to the analysis of relevant data and to the security of Switzerland. The Passenger Information Unit (UIP) is the central national service for the processing of air passenger data (Passenger Name Record, PNR) according to the law of 21 March 2025 on air passenger data (LDPA). It provides 24-hour support to national and international police, criminal prosecution and security authorities, coordinates the exchange of PNR information and makes an essential contribution to the fight against terrorism and serious forms of crime. Complementary information The UIP is active 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The position therefore requires availability to work irregular working hours over a 24-hour period, seven days a week, as well as to work night shifts, on weekends and on public holidays.
