System Engineer 80 - 100 % (m/f/d)

Hamilton Storage designs, produces and markets robots for the storage of up to ten million chemical substances for pharmaceutical companies. We also produce robots for the storage of biological samples at -80 degrees Celsius, used in biobanks for clinical research purposes.

What you can accomplish:

After training on the basics of our products, our development tools and our internal processes, you will test and improve, within a development team, electromechanical components and functions for customized installations and serial products.

You guarantee that the installations meet our standards in terms of quality and costs and are in close contact with internal and external suppliers and customers.

Your main tasks include:

• Promoting the optimization of biobank system products to meet changing market needs
• Developing, acquiring, testing and documenting new electromechanical assemblies in accordance with the Hamilton innovation process within an interdisciplinary project team
• Writing requirement, test and project documents for the improved modules in English
• Performing simulations, analyzing measurement data and drawing solid conclusions
• Creating and improving installation, manufacturing and service documents
• Conducting technical discussions with internal and external suppliers and customers
• Ensuring product quality as well as cost and manufacturing objectives in accordance with our high standards

What you bring:

• Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in mechanical engineering, systems engineering or a comparable technical field
• Experience with a 3D CAD program, preferably Creo Parametric
• Passion for robotics, automation and innovative technical solutions
• Creative and open personality with personal initiative and pleasure in working in an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to analyze complex situations and present conclusions in an understandable manner to an interdisciplinary team, and then implement them effectively
• Autonomous, reliable and structured way of working
• Good knowledge of German and English
