Social Pedagogue Psychiatry Young Adults Zug

As a social pedagogue, you will work in a specialized psychiatric clinic in the Zug area with a workload of 60 to 100 % on a ward for young adults. You will accompany patients in challenging life situations and make a central contribution to stabilization, development, and social integration. This position is available immediately or by arrangement and offers you a meaningful working environment with a high degree of personal responsibility.

What awaits you in this challenging task

• Responsibility for social pedagogical accompaniment within the framework of key person work with young adults with mental illnesses
• Support for patients in everyday life as well as promotion of independence and social skills
• Accompanying in crisis situations as well as stabilization in challenging life phases
• Participation in therapeutic and interdisciplinary treatment processes
• Conducting conversations with relatives and key persons in complex situations
• Active co-design of interprofessional cooperation in the team
• Instruction, guidance, and support of apprentices as well as students in everyday practice
• Implementation of group offers in the social pedagogical or psychoeducational context

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a social pedagogue FH or equivalent training
• Experience in working with mentally ill people, ideally in a psychiatric environment
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
• Interest in social psychiatric work as well as in accompanying young adults
