This is your contribution • Lead and control projects in electrical, EMP protection, and telematics throughout Switzerland (predominantly French-speaking Switzerland); plan budgets, grant approvals, check costs, and monitor execution and acceptance • Conduct negotiations, lead coordination meetings, and advise, coordinate, and accompany clients, authorities, and specialist companies through all project phases • Develop fundamentals, instruments, and tools for the digitalization of processes as well as create technical contributions for ordinances, instructions, and guidelines • Design training and further education materials, create market analyses and tender documents, and write reports and statistics • Analyze technical developments, develop studies and strategies for the further development of systems in protective facilities, and plan and implement corresponding measures • Participate in working groups, support training, give presentations, and undertake other tasks What makes you unique • FH Electrical Engineer with professional practice in electrical planning or HF Electrical Technician with proven track record in the telematics field or equivalent training with several years of professional experience • Proven project management and management experience in the planning and implementation of telematics and high-voltage projects in the field of building services • High technical expertise and willingness to acquire specialized knowledge for the protective structures of civil protection • Proven experience and/or affinity in the areas of IT and digitalization • Active knowledge of two official languages, passive knowledge of the third official language desired What we offer • Working for Switzerland We are committed to the success model of Switzerland and work for the benefit of the population. • Lived diversity Thanks to equal opportunities, we develop our competencies and bring in different perspectives. • Healthy at the workplace We support and advise our employees in the area of physical and mental health. The Federal Office for Civil Protection BABS is the nationally recognized coordination office for civil protection between federal specialist offices, cantons, and third parties. It ensures fundamentals and coordination, particularly in the areas of risk analysis, warning and alerting, training, telematics, and protective infrastructure, as well as disaster medicine, CBRN protection, and disarmament. Together with the cantons as well as other national and international partners, it possesses capabilities, current technologies, and infrastructures for managing disasters and emergencies.
