Embedded Linux Engineer

Tasks * Development, porting and optimization of Linux BSPs for ARM-based embedded platforms * Integration and adaptation of bootloaders, device trees and Linux kernel components * Collaboration on demanding and varied customer projects in industry and defence, from system architecture to series production * Technical consulting for our customers on questions related to Embedded Linux, Yocto and system integration * Cooperation with interdisciplinary teams in the integration of complex overall solutions * Analysis of complex system problems as well as optimization of performance, stability and security at kernel, driver and application level Qualifications * University degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable technical field * Several years of practical experience in the development of embedded software and embedded Linux, especially in Linux kernel and driver development * Very good knowledge of C/C++ as well as experience with Python for scripting, testing and automation * Experience with Git, cross-compilation, Yocto/OpenEmbedded and modern embedded build systems * Good knowledge of ARM processors, device trees and bootloaders as well as experience in hardware bring-up * Good understanding of hardware architectures and the connection of various peripheral devices * Knowledge of security concepts such as Secure Boot, secure software updates, hardening and embedded cybersecurity * Enjoyment of technical responsibility and of shaping complex systems * Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form Become one of us We maintain an appreciative corporate culture and communicate openly and honestly with each other.
