Social Worker in Nemo and Pfarrer Sieber Haus 80 %

Our foundation-owned social counseling service is a low-threshold counseling center for people in emergency situations and difficult life circumstances. This counseling center subsidiarily complements the offerings of other social institutions in the Canton of Zürich and works together with them. It is also responsible for the social work counseling of adolescents and young adults in the emergency sleeping shelter Nemo, as well as in the newly opened Pfarrer Sieber Haus. We are looking for starting 1 November 2026 Social Worker in Nemo and Pfarrer Sieber Haus 80 % ## Your tasks: • Social counseling and crisis intervention in the emergency sleeping shelter Nemo on two days • Social counseling of clients in the new Pfarrer Sieber Haus on two days • Advocacy for clients towards offices and authorities • Support in the enforcement of state claims • Qualified case documentation and data entry • Cooperation with other operations of the Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber Your profile: • You have a completed FH degree in Social Work • You bring professional experience in low-threshold social work • You have experience in working with adolescents and/or young adults • You can approach people in an uncomplicated manner and establish initial contact • You work in a structured and organized way • You have good knowledge of social assistance, state social benefits, and social insurance • You are confident and self-assured in contact with public sector bodies • You enjoy organizing your daily work independently and contributing ideas We offer: • Diverse and interesting tasks in a small, well-coordinated team • Insights into the broad range of our foundation • A varied activity in an inspiring environment • Professional exchange and supervision Information is provided by Ms. Ursina Liggenstorfer, Head of Social Counseling, 044 537 58 11, ursina.liggenstorfer@swsieber.ch .
