Mechanical Manager (M/F)

Workplace: Le Noirmont (JU)

Integrated into the Development Department of Hermès Horloger and more specifically the Technical Office, the Mechanical Manager organizes, supervises the manufacture of tooling and ensures its maintenance while guaranteeing compliance with requirements. He/she manages the team of mechanics, manages schedules, ensures compliance with safety standards and ensures the satisfaction of internal customers.

Your main missions will be as follows:

Lead & Unify

You will plan, organize and distribute missions within a team of 5 employees -- polymechanicians, die-making mechanics and setters -- by cultivating their skill development on a daily basis.

You will collaborate closely with the industrialization teams and the various production departments, making transverse links a true lever for collective performance.

Orchestrate & Reliable

You will master workflows with rigor, guaranteeing the availability of tooling within the deadlines agreed upon with the Technical Office and manufacturing managers.

You will evaluate machine and tooling needs, manage maintenance, manage stocks and anticipate the evolution of the department's resources. You will implement fine capacity management as well as relevant performance indicators (KPI), in order to capitalize on expertise and lead coordination meetings (AIC).

You will master the manufacturing processes of tooling -- clamps, fixtures, dies -- and provide active technical support to the mechanics. Finally, you will handle non-conformities with method and high standards.

Improve, Secure & Perform

You will position yourself as a permanent source of proposals for the optimization of tooling, seeking to improve their lifespan and associated processes.

You will ensure compliance with safety instructions within the workshop and ensure the HSE compliance of equipment -- protections, extractions, chemical interfaces -- by assessing risks with vigilance.

Additionally, you will follow the budget (capex/opex) with discipline, actively contributing to the overall performance of the department.

Your profile:

Benefiting from technical and mechanical training, you possess significant experience of a minimum of 5 years in a similar function and in the field of mechanics and/or tooling.

You possess a very good knowledge of the mechanics field - and notably of tooling manufacturing. Ideally, you specifically know die manufacturing.

You master common IT tools (Powerpoint, Excel...).

Possibly, your knowledge of CAD, machine-tool programming and the Lean approach would be assets for the position.

You are recognized for your management sense, your ability to create links and to unify.

Endowed with rigor and a process vision, you combine being a source of proposals, diagnostic capacity and analysis/synthesis skills.
