As an occupational therapist, you will accompany people with mental illnesses on their way back to a self-determined everyday life and contribute significantly to promoting their quality of life, ability to act, and independence. In doing so, you will work in a committed, interprofessional team and actively help shape the further development of occupational therapy. Your tasks • You are responsible for the occupational therapy care of patients on the general acute psychiatric and psychotherapeutic wards, as well as in the day-patient and outpatient sectors • You conduct individual and group therapies, create occupational therapy assessments, formulate therapy goals, and plan as well as evaluate evidence-based interventions • You accompany people with mental illnesses in managing everyday life and strengthen their independence in practical life matters • You work interdisciplinary and maintain regular exchange with nursing, medical services, therapists, and other specialist departments • You engage in organizational, administrative, and conceptual tasks - from ordering materials to the further development of occupational therapy Your profile • You have completed training in occupational therapy FH or HF or an equivalent qualification with SRK recognition • Preferably, you already have experience in a psychiatric or socio-therapeutic environment • Initial leadership experience or the willingness to take on responsibility and build leadership skills is an advantage • You are flexible, open, and communicative and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team • You bring high social competence, independence, and resilience • You are enthusiastic about working with patients with different clinical pictures • If interested, you will take on the supervision of interns in the specialist department Das UPZ As a university clinic, the Universitäre Psychiatrische Zentrum Bern (UPZ) is the leading competence center for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the capital region.
