With diverse services and advisory offers, we provide competent support to seniors, their relatives, as well as authorities and institutions throughout the canton. For our service center Stadt Zürich, we are looking for a social worker 70-80% immediately or by arrangement. Social Worker 70-80% Your tasks You advise clients and their relatives on topics such as finances, housing, health, prevention and adult protection, retirement, and social participation. You conduct advisory interviews in the service center or at the clients' homes and help to promote the independence of older people aged 60 and over. You offer individual support, accompany people in difficult life situations, and help with the mediation of material aid and financial benefits. You independently take responsibility for the advice of the clients assigned to you in the Stadt Zürich and maintain the network within your assigned quarter. In the social advisory team, you support each other and are in regular exchange. You strive for good cooperation with colleagues from other services of PSZH. You enjoy delivering presentations on topics such as supplementary benefits, Docupass etc. and represent PSZH in public. Your profile You have a Bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences in Social Work and have relevant professional experience in social advisory services. You are familiar with social insurance, specifically in the area of supplementary benefits. You enjoy working independently, take responsibility, and are resilient. You are a communicative, empathetic personality and value professional exchange within the team. Your way of working is structured, you can organize yourself well and set priorities correctly. You are familiar with administrative tasks and bring good MS-Office skills. Foreign language skills, such as Italian, Spanish, etc. are an advantage.
