Your tasks

• Ensuring the operation of the IT infrastructure at all locations
• Responsible for server, network, storage, backup, and cloud environments
• Operation and further development of Microsoft platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint)
• Further development of modern digital workplace and client management solutions
• Responsible for IT security topics in the infrastructure environment
• Technical and personnel leadership of the IT System Engineering team with 4 employees
• Controlling and coordinating external service providers
• Analyzing and resolving complex malfunctions as a technical escalation instance
• Planning and implementing infrastructure and modernization projects
• Ensuring up-to-date operational and system documentation
• Supporting the IT Manager in architecture, technology, and investment decisions

Your profile

• Completed training as a computer scientist
• At least 10 years of professional experience as a System Engineer
• Experience in leading employees and external service providers is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server, and Client Management
• Very good knowledge in the areas of network, virtualization, backup, and IT security
• Several years of experience in operating complex IT infrastructures, ideally in an industrial or mechanical engineering company
• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as high service and customer orientation
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Team- and solution-oriented "doer personality" with enjoyment in operational work
• Very good German and good English skills in speaking and writing
