The department of the criminal police is responsible for fighting crime in the canton of Bern. It deals with serious crime, is competent for matters of supra-regional importance and for offenses requiring specialized technical and professional knowledge. As the driving force of the criminal police work, it sets priorities, shapes professional orientation and is a sought-after partner of national and international justice and police services. ###

Your tasks

• Personnel management, strategic and operational, of a sector of approximately 50 employees in upper management and definition of the strategic orientation
• Undertake coordination and supervision tasks of personnel, tactical and operational
• Management of projects specific to the sector
• Ensure the specific professional development of the Brigade Spéciale 4 focused on investigations
• Execution of special missions for the head of the criminal police department and taking on delegations within the management team
• Ensure on-call duties after completing officer courses at the Institut Suisse de Police

Your profile

• Completed Master's in law as well as experience in a comparable function
• Successful track record of several years in management
• Ideally practical experience in conducting police criminal investigations
• Ability for rapid assimilation, developed analytical mind and good sense of what is achievable
• Committed, eager to learn and innovative personality with strong engagement, high team orientation and a great interest in criminal and security police issues
• Very good communication skills as well as good knowledge of French
• Role model function, confident attitude and lived social skills
