Glass Decorator

📌 Job Presentation The glass decorator is an art craftsman and a qualified technician. Their role is to transform, enhance and install glass in all its aesthetic forms. This position is distinguished by its total versatility: part of the activity is dedicated to creation, cutting and decoration in the workshop, while the other is devoted to installation, adjustment and finishing directly on the construction site at our clients' (individuals, professionals, historic monuments). 🛠️ Main Missions 1. In Workshop: Creation, Shaping and Decoration (approx. 50% of the time) Preparation and cutting: Reading plans, drawings, templates and technical cutting of glass (rectilinear or shaped). Decoration techniques: Mastery and application of different personalization processes: Sandblasting and engraving (creation of patterns, matting). Lacquering and coloring (application of resins, paints or enamels). Decorative leafing or thermoforming (depending on the company's equipment). Stained glass / Lead (restoration or creation if applicable). Shaping and finishing: Polishing, edge grinding, drilling and quality control before departure for installation. 2. On Site: Installation, Adjustment and Customer Relationship (approx. 50% of the time) Taking measurements: Precise measurements on site before fabrication. Installation and installation: Handling and placement of glass elements (countertops, high-end mirrors, interior glass roofs, floor slabs, guardrails, display cases). Fixing and sealing: Use of bonding techniques (UV, silicone), mechanical fixing and perfect finishing joint installation. Customer service: Representing the company's brand image on site, ensuring site cleanliness after intervention and explaining maintenance instructions to the customer. 📐 Sought Profile Technical skills (Know-how) Training: CAP/BMA Arts and techniques of glass (decorator option), Bac Pro Glazing-Mirroring, or equivalent through experience. Tool mastery: Use of shaping machines (rectilinear, drill), paint gun, sandblaster, and site electroportative tools. Sense of geometry: Reading 2D/3D plans and excellent spatial vision. Compulsory driving license B (frequent travel with company vehicles). Personal qualities (Know-being) Rigor and precision: Glass does not forgive a millimeter error, either in decoration or in installation. Aesthetic sense: Artistic sensitivity, attention to detail and love of well-done work. Physical resistance & Prudence: Carrying heavy loads (with handling aids) and strict adherence to safety rules (PPE, glass handling). Adaptability: Ability to switch from the calm of the workshop to the sometimes unpredictable dynamism of construction sites.
