What you can contribute

• Participate in action planning groups and working groups at the operative level
• Develop planning and engagement concepts
• Identify gaps in the fused situation at the military-strategic, operative, and tactical levels, and coordinate information gathering to fill them
• Coordinate and implement support services for the benefit of partners
• Independently maintain contacts within the intelligence network and the security network
• Develop basic documents, concepts, and training activities in the field of protection of the army's persons, systems, and critical infrastructures

What makes you unique

• Swiss Army officer (minimum rank captain) or career specialist officer. Specialized intelligence officer training desired
• University/HES degree (preferably in political science, criminology, law, or psychology) and/or several years of experience in the field of intelligence/state protection or in the police
• Experience and skills at the operative level (staff work)
• Strong writing and communication skills, excellent conceptual and methodical skills
• Perfect command of German (writing skills)
• Good knowledge of a second official language and in English

The Army Preventive Protection Service (SPPA) constitutes the first line of defense for the army. It monitors and evaluates the military security situation and takes preventive measures to protect the army against espionage, sabotage, and other illegal acts.

The Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes notably the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command, as well as the Military Police. Approximately 40 % of the about 2500 employees are employed in civilian roles, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
