Head of Nursing and Care

The Stiftung Obesunne in Arlesheim provides inpatient nursing and care for 122 elderly people in their final stage of life in the nursing home. Of these, 29 people affected by dementia live in the specialized residential area «Rägeboge». Further offers include day and night services in the semi-residential sector, its own general practitioner's practice, 16 close-to-care residential units, 90 senior apartments, a public restaurant and a cafeteria, as well as other services for the elderly population.

Stiftung Obesunne was founded in 1963 and, with around 200 employees from 35 nations, is one of the largest employers in Arlesheim. To strengthen our team, due to retirement, we are looking for a committed and experienced personality as Head of Nursing and Care as of 1 June 2027 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the nursing area with over 110 employees (approx. 70 VZE)
• Direct leadership of the group leaders, specialist and staff positions
• Responsibility for occupancy management and admission counseling (inpatient, intermediary)
• Ensuring nursing quality and nursing documentation
• Further development of the offer
• Overall operational perspective as a member of the management team

Your profile

• Dipl. Nursing Specialist HF or FH
• Leadership training or post-graduate studies in leadership
• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable function
• Specialist knowledge in Palliative Care and gerontopsychiatry
• Proficient in nursing needs assessment (RAI)
• Cooperative, empathetic, decisive, communicative and resilient
• Joy in initiating changes, developing new concepts and ideas and implementing them in practice
