We are taking retirements in the service area as an opportunity to reorient our organization as of summer 2027. In doing so, we are pooling management structures and simultaneously developing the agogic orientation of our operational areas in a targeted manner.

For this realignment, we are looking for a strong-willed, innovative, and networked-thinking personality as of 1. June 2027.

You will take over the overall operational and strategic leadership of the Infrastructure & Environment, Kitchen, and Housekeeping areas and lead the responsible group management directly. At the same time, you will help shape an important development step for the SHE: in the future, our operational areas should serve even more strongly as learning, experience, and relief spaces for our students.

Your tasks

• Lead and shape: You lead the entire service area personnel-wise, technically, and organizationally, further develop the group management, and ensure sustainable structures and efficient processes.
• Develop agogics further: Together with the specialist departments, you will further develop the work-agogic orientation and create practical modules with an educational character as well as complementary relief offers in interaction with the school mandate.
• Enable learning worlds: You utilize the diverse operational work fields – from infrastructure and environment to agriculture, garden, and Seemätteli to kitchen and housekeeping – as real learning and experience spaces for our students.
• Collaborate interdisciplinary: You actively help shape the cooperation between school, living/social pedagogy, and the service area. Together, suitable offers and settings are developed that are oriented towards the individual needs of the students.
• Take responsibility: You are responsible for personnel recruitment and development, resource and deployment planning, as well as the budget of your area, and ensure compliance with the cantonal framework conditions.
• Help shape the institution: As a member of the management team, you actively contribute your perspective to the strategic and organizational further development of the Schulheim Schloss Erlach.

Your profile

• Qualification and leadership: You have a completed vocational qualification (EFZ) as well as sound professional and leadership experience. Relevant leadership training is an advantage; we also consider equivalent, proven leadership experience.
• Agogic competence: You bring work-pedagogical or agogic qualifications or sound practical experience – or are willing to develop specifically in this area.
• Networked thinking: You recognize development opportunities and understand how to combine operational requirements and pedagogical-agogic objectives.
• Personality: You are a stable, resilient, and conflict-capable leadership personality who involves employees, provides orientation, and takes responsibility.
• Attitude and integrity: A solution-oriented basic attitude, professional handling of closeness and distance, and responsible handling of confidential information are natural for you.

The Schulheim Schloss Erlach is a cantonal institution of the education system for child and youth welfare. Children and adolescents who are of average intelligence, some with learning impairments, who are in difficult life situations, are schooled and cared for here. They live in social-pedagogical residential groups mixed by age and gender and mostly attend the internal special education school. In the sense of reintegration, the institution also offers external boarding with day groups as well as regular school attendance in Erlach. The agricultural and gardening business, the technical service, the housekeeping, the catering, and the administration are part of the pedagogical concept: they serve as learning, experience, and work fields.
