Litigation & Bankruptcy Manager FER CIAM — Putting humans at the center of social benefits The FER CIAM is the Geneva agency of the largest interprofessional AVS fund in Switzerland, FER Genève, created by FER Genève and fully integrated into its ecosystem of services to member companies. With nearly 47,500 affiliates — including both companies and the self-employed — it is one of the essential players in social protection in French-speaking Switzerland. On a daily basis, its teams manage the collection of 2.425 billion in AVS and unemployment insurance contributions, as well as the payment of more than 876 million francs in AVS, AI, and loss of earnings benefits. In parallel, they ensure the administration of family allowances and the application of collective labor agreements. A demanding technical scope, serving thousands of companies and their insured persons — where every file has a direct impact on the professional and social lives of the people concerned. Job Description Your mission: Within FER CIAM Genève, you play a key role in the management and securing of the receivables of affiliated institutions. You manage litigation, debt collection, and bankruptcy files, ensure the follow-up of civil and criminal procedures as well as actions for damage reparation, while supporting affiliates and collaborating closely with authorities and internal partners. Your rigor and expertise allow for the guarantee of efficient file management and the preservation of the interests of the represented institutions. Your main activities: Management of bankruptcy proceedings • Receive and process acts from the debt collection and bankruptcy offices, establish proofs of claim, control payments and movements (imputation, cancellation of debt collection, claim for costs) • Control certificates of unpaid debts, seizure reports, and collocation statements, and initiate the necessary follow-up actions • Follow up on stay of execution procedures, manage correspondence and associated costs, and maintain a rigorous schedule of files. Damage reparation actions and criminal proceedings • Draft decisions and follow civil procedures against responsible bodies (ARD) within the framework of the CIAM • Draft criminal complaints (CIAM and CIEPP) and follow criminal proceedings initiated against companies and their bodies • Impute payments received within the framework of criminal proceedings and ARD actions, and follow arrangements relating to all procedures. Relationship with affiliates, support to the legal department, involvement in IT projects • Welcome affiliates in person and by telephone, and handle all correspondence relating to their files • Manage negotiations with affiliates and issue decisions on deferral of payment and arrangements, within the framework set by management • Prepare files of evidence to be transmitted to the legal department for the most complex procedures • Participation in the department's IT projects, notably to ensure testing. Profile sought Your Profile You hold a CFC as a commercial employee or an equivalent training You have previous experience in litigation or in a debt collection or bankruptcy office You hold a certifying training in forced execution (an asset) You possess good knowledge regarding the taxation and collection of AVS/AI/APG/AC parity contributions and other dedicated tasks You possess strong capacities for analyzing accounting movements, monitoring receivables, and controlling payments You have excellent writing skills and a perfect command of the French language You are comfortable with standard IT tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook) You are of Swiss nationality or hold a valid permit. Skills and competencies You have a marked interest in social insurance and/or the law on debt collection and bankruptcy You demonstrate organization, reliability, and precision in the execution of your work.
