Qualified Laundry Worker

Located in a beautiful and quiet setting, MRPS is both a medical and social institution and a residential facility. Founded in 1849, it has more than 300 employees and accommodates dependent elderly people (220 in EMS) and independent people (135 in residences). To join our laundry service, we are looking for a qualified laundry worker on an indefinite contract. MISSION: Supervise the flow of laundry: Prepare laundry closets (bedding, towels, etc.) for care units. Prepare and check residents' clothes sent to the press. Sort dirty laundry from the house and laundry to be subcontracted. Distribute laundry within units (bedding, towels, etc.). Collect, maintain, and distribute residents' laundry. Load and unload washing machines and dryers. Fold laundry. Iron laundry washed with a press, iron, or mannequin if necessary. Perform small sewing tasks if necessary (hems, buttons, repairs, etc.). Mark laundry with residents' names. Ensure daily replenishment of the uniform dispenser, register or deactivate new employees' badges. Monitor hygiene and textile care protocols: Ensure the cleanliness of premises (laundry, linen room) in accordance with hygiene measures and directives for using cleaning products in force at the Institution, and respect the dosages of maintenance products. Fill and check the needs of the automatic uniform dispenser. PROFILE SOUGHT: CFC in textile cleaning or CFC in facility management required, or equivalent title. Minimum 5 years of experience in EMS required. Perfect mastery of French, both spoken and written. In-depth knowledge of hospital textiles (properties, constraints, management). Good physical condition and ability to carry heavy loads. Mastery of techniques and products used for textile maintenance in a hospital setting. Mastery of hygiene and safety standards for laundry products. Excellent mastery of common computer tools and specific software for textile services. Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of hospital textiles required. Knowledge of clothing dispensers (Metal Progetti) would be a plus.
