Zollikofen, Switzerland (and Homeoffice) | 80-100% This is the contribution you can make • Be responsible for fiber optic architecture, planning, procurement, commissioning and acceptance of new (Bernese) glass cables for the operation of ICT systems as well as defining their operating requirements for external service providers • Requirement Engineering; examine new or changed fiber optic access requirements for their feasibility and complexity as well as their impact on existing/planned systems, standards and guidelines • Apply conceptual activities, consulting and solution of complex fiber optic network requirements (PoC); provide technical guidance for fiber optic access beyond several WAN/LAN specialist areas • Demonstrate consulting, technical coordination and communication with customers and cable manufacturers, supporting our sales organization in presales activities/development of technical solution concepts and their presentation • Conception, architecture, engineering of complex fiber optic cable route solutions, undertake evaluation of new cable routes, their commissioning and troubleshooting as well as support our external (reactively summoned) on-call service <br /> This makes you unique • University degree and/or in-depth knowledge and many years of experience in the fiber optic network environment; proven specialist knowledge in the planning and maintenance of (fiber optic) networks • Several years of professional experience in the network environment, preferably in fiber optic network planning, expertise in the architecture, conception, planning and implementation of (fiber optic) networks • Operational specialist knowledge in the (fiber optic) network environment (Core and Distribution); affinity for project management tasks • Logical-abstract as well as analytical thinking, quick comprehension, strong communication skills, flexible, resilient and a team player; capable of realizing new solutions together with internal and external partners • Flexible, helpful personality, structured, precise way of working and experience with agile methods and roles (especially SAFe, Jira environment) desirable • Good knowledge of two official languages <br /> In a nutshell Are you an experienced professional in the architecture, conception, implementation of (fiber optic) network infrastructures?
