Internal medicine physician in endocrinology, diabetology and metabolism – 80%

As an internal medicine physician, you have a marked interest in the field of endocrinology / diabetology and wish to develop your clinical skills within a reference university environment. Under the supervision of senior physicians, you will take charge with rigor and clinical sense of the patients entrusted to you. You will develop your analytical skills by confronting sometimes complex clinical situations. Thanks to your sense of organization, you will ensure practical activities, clinical and therapeutic interventions, while ensuring strict compliance with internal rules and procedures, with a constant concern for the quality of the medical services provided. Evolving in a stimulating and demanding university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with the entire medico-nursing team and ensure that clear, fluid and respectful communication is maintained, both with your colleagues and with patients, by adapting your discourse to their needs and understanding. Note that this position is not part of an FMH training in endocrinology-diabetology. You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales of the Office fédéral de la santé publique (MEBEKO). You have a perfect command of the French language (C1 level required) and a very good ability for written and oral expression. Possessing excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible and committed person. Furthermore, you have demonstrated strong adaptability. You can work both during day shifts, as well as night and weekend shifts. Within this department, the Service endocrinologie, diabétologie et métabolisme ensures specialized care for patients in both hospital and outpatient consultation settings. Its activity covers the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of chronic diseases, notably diabetes, obesity and their complications, as well as the management of specific treatments such as radioactive iodine. Working in close collaboration with other HUG services and referring physicians, the team puts a multidisciplinary approach at the heart of its mission, aiming to offer personalized and high-quality care. This position is newly created and is part of the ALTER deployment which aims to ensure the compliance of work organization with the Loi sur le travail (LTr).
