Legal & Compliance Officer

SRO PolyReg is a self-regulatory organization (SRO) recognized by the Confederation in accordance with Article 24 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG). The SRO performs the statutory supervisory and monitoring duties towards its members in accordance with its regulations and is subject to the supervision of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. Furthermore, it acts as a registration office pursuant to Art. 31 of the Financial Services Act (FIDLEG) and operates the advisor register RegFix for client advisors. To support our team at the headquarters in Zürich, we are looking for a legal employee in the field of Legal & Compliance, starting immediately or by arrangement. We are looking for a motivated, conscientious, and resilient person who maintains an efficient, independent, and careful way of working and is versatile. The position offers a demanding activity in a constantly evolving regulatory environment in the field of financial market supervision. Legal & Compliance Officer (80-100%) Areas of responsibility: Technical support of members and interested parties regarding GwG subordination questions and questions regarding SRO membership; Conducting admission procedures: substantive examination of admission requests; Ongoing supervision: mandating, instructing, and monitoring the audit bodies as well as evaluating and recording audit reports; Evaluation of MROS reports, risk analysis & dossier controls; Initiation of regulatory measures and preparation of sanction proceedings; Conducting arbitration and collection proceedings; Creation of training materials, co-speaker activity at training events; Internal process optimization and quality assurance. Requirements: Completed studies in law at a Swiss university (MLaw or .); Good knowledge in the field of financial market law & regulation; Excellent editorial and analytical skills as well as confident expression in the German language; Efficient, careful, and independent way of working; Quick comprehension and the ability to synthesize complex facts; Very good English and [missing] skills, Italian skills are an advantage; An integral and loyal personality with team spirit as well as the ambition to perform careful, timely, and high-quality work.
