What you can contribute

• Develop, analyze and communicate a situational picture covering the entire spectrum of engagement of the Army Preventive Protection Service (SPPA)
• Interpret, compare, consolidate and evaluate data, identify gaps in the situational picture and derive targeted measures to fill them
• Analyze threats such as espionage, sabotage and other illicit acts, and develop preventive protection concepts and measures
• Develop intelligence products and decision bases for the operational level and represent the military security situation in specialized commissions
• Observe, continuously evaluate and present the army's internal security situation in an appropriate manner to target groups

What makes you unique

• Swiss army officer (at least lieutenant), technical officer training
• intelligence.
• Degree from a university or specialized university of applied sciences (preferably in political science, criminology, law or psychology) or several years of professional experience relevant to the function in intelligence / state protection or in the police field
• Experience and skills at the operational level (staff work) desired
• Pronounced analytical, methodological and writing skills as well as communication adapted to the hierarchical level
• Good oral and written knowledge of a second official language as well as good knowledge of English

Through the analysis, interpretation and prioritization of information from various sources, you develop the situational picture, identify risks and create the basis allowing preventive protection measures to take effect in a targeted and effective manner.
The Army Preventive Protection Service (SPPA) constitutes the first line of defense for the army. It monitors and evaluates the military security situation and takes preventive measures to protect the army against espionage, sabotage and other illicit acts.

Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and all military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes in particular the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command as well as the Military Police. About 40 % of the approximately 2500 employees are employed in civilian roles, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
