Social Pedagogue / Social Pedagogue Sociotherapy Bern

Sociotherapy in measures execution means accompanying convicted people in everyday life and providing them with sustainable structures. In Le Landeron, Kanton Bern, we are looking for sociotherapists with a workload of 80 – 90 % starting immediately or by arrangement. In a therapeutic center for adult male offenders with mental disorders and addictions, you will care for men in difficult life situations within the key person system.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• You complement the offender therapy with social-therapeutic work in lifestyle, everyday life, and leisure
• You care for convicted men with special psychological characteristics in a team of seven people within the key person system
• You work closely with the internal departments of psychotherapy, work agogics, and sociotherapy
• You coordinate with external contact persons such as probation and execution services as well as social services
• You take on various administrative tasks

What you bring with you

• Recognized degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Pedagogy, or Psychology
• High social competence, good ability to set boundaries (closeness/distance), and assertiveness
• Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends and on-call readiness (no night shifts)
• Very good editorial skills and good MS-Office knowledge
• German native language with good French skills
