Social Worker (Male or Female) The social service (SOC) of the Ville de Genève contributes to improving the living framework and conditions of the inhabitants of our city by creating links and allowing them to participate fully in social life. Prioritizing local action, the SOC offers services and develops projects aimed at promoting solidarity, integration, and the inclusion of people in situations of vulnerability, in collaboration with institutional and associative partners. To complete its team, the SOC social team is looking for a Social Worker (Male or Female) Activity rate 60 - 80 % Engagement duration: 1 year - CDD Start date: ideally on October 1, 2026 Your mission: Inform and orient people contacting the Social Service by calling upon the resources of the institutional or associative network when relevant; Perform assessments of the social situations of the people being helped; Ensure the social support and follow-up of beneficiaries; Contribute to the management of the unit's services in their specificities (social and financial aid, management of housing issues, etc.), while ensuring the link with all internal and external partners; Perform complex procedures related to debt relief (notably establishing a detailed statement of debts). Your profile: Hold a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work, or have training deemed equivalent; Possess professional experience in the social follow-up of people in precarious situations; Have good knowledge of the Geneva network of public and private institutions and socio-sanitary associations; Have the ability to manage, support, and evaluate individual and collective projects, as well as to work in a team or network, manifesting an interest in coordination; Be autonomous, organized, with a keen sense of priorities and available to work occasionally in the evening and on weekends; Experience in debt relief is an asset.
