SZBLIND is the national umbrella organization for the Swiss blind and visually impaired community. Since 1903, we have been working throughout Switzerland for better living conditions for people with visual, deafblindness, and deafblindness – with expertise, aids, research, awareness, and direct support.
At the Lenzburg location, from July 2027 Olten, we are looking for an independent and proactive personality as a
Specialist Competence Center Acquired Deafblindness (60%)
starting on 01. January 2027 or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
In this role, you convey knowledge about deafblindness and deafblindness. You work with deaf people, volunteers, communication assistants, and specialists.
You plan and lead courses for volunteers and communication assistants and create the training program.
You organize and lead the training for communication assistants.
You plan and lead projects on training, awareness, and information, working with various partners.
You raise awareness in the deaf community and manage the information point for deaf people with visual impairment or Usher syndrome.
You create information material such as brochures, films, and other content together with other specialists.
Your profile
For this versatile task, you bring the following requirements:
If possible, you have a Bachelor's in Social Work, for example with a focus on socio-cultural work, or an equivalent qualification.
You have experience in adult education and project management, preferably with corresponding training.
You can write texts such as course announcements, concepts, or brochures clearly and appropriately for the target group.
You have very good German language skills; knowledge of Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS) and French is an advantage.
You are familiar with the deaf community, make contacts easily, work independently, and actively develop your expertise and area of responsibility.
