Director of the Department of Life Sciences and Facility Management and Member of the Executive Board Department: Life Sciences and Facility Management Start date: Per 1 January 2028 or by arrangement Tasks In this key position, you are responsible, together with the department management, for the strategic further development and the operational leadership of the Department of Life Sciences and Facility Management. You bear overall responsibility in the four service areas of teaching, continuing education, research, and services. Your tasks also include representation and networking internally and externally, the latter on both a national and international level. As a member of the Executive Board, you participate in the development of the entire ZHAW, advocate for its interests and concerns, and undertake leadership and representation tasks for the entire university. Profile We are addressing an integrative personality with several years of practical experience in a professional field relevant to Life Sciences as well as successful activity in a demanding leadership role in a strongly change-oriented environment, ideally in an expert organization. You bring proven technical expertise in an area relevant to the Department of Life Sciences and Facility Management, think and act entrepreneurially, and are well familiar with both the educational landscape and the professional fields. For this demanding position, in which you can apply your change management skills, you have knowledge in strategic and operational management as well as experience in the personnel and financial leadership of a large organizational unit. You have a university degree with a doctorate as well as experience in teaching and research at the university level.
