Chairperson of the Board of Directors The Wasserverbund Region Bern AG (WVRB AG) is a regionally active company with 16 employees, which ensures the secure and sustainable water supply for over 300,000 people in Bern and the surrounding area on behalf of its 23 shareholder municipalities. As an important regional infrastructure organization, WVRB AG stands for security of supply, sustainability, and a forward-looking development of the water supply. As part of long-term succession planning, we are looking for a committed, integrous and entrepreneurially far-sighted personality as Chairperson of the Board of Directors (VRP) per mid-2027. The new VRP brings the following professional, strategic and entrepreneurial competencies as well as personal qualities and thus specifically complements the existing Board of Directors, which was selected according to the requirement profile: Political networking: Sound experience and networking in the political environment of the Canton of Bern or in Bernese municipal authorities, as well as high credibility and familiarity with political decision-making processes Strategic generalist knowledge: Sound knowledge in corporate management, HR, finance, law and corporate governance Technology and management: Technical understanding as well as experience in project, cost, risk and preferably regulatory management Industry and infrastructure understanding: Knowledge of water management or of supply systems and infrastructure; experience in related industries is an advantage Security of supply: Strong awareness of the importance of water supply as critical infrastructure and the responsibility for security of supply Strategic foresight: Long-term thinking with an infrastructure horizon of 20–40 years as well as an eye for operational fields of action and industry, technology and regulatory developments Stakeholder orientation: Understanding of the different interests of owners, politics, customers and the public as well as their balanced weighting Communication and leadership: Confident appearance, convincing representation as well as strong communication, team, conflict, consensus and decision-making skills Experience and commitment: Several years of experience as a member of the Board of Directors or in a comparable strategic leadership function as well as a high sense of responsibility, commitment and temporal availability – also for committee roles in extraordinary situations Are you interested and do you have no conflicts of interest in strategically relevant subject areas and in the role as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Wasserverbund Region Bern AG? , Vice President of the Board of Directors of WVRB AG, looks forward to you contacting him.
