Gastronomy Employee 50% at GZ Witikon

The Zürcher Gemeinschaftszentren are socio-cultural institutions for the residents of the city of Zürich. For the Gemeinschaftszentrum (GZ) Witikon, we are looking for a Gastronomy Employee (50%) starting March 1, 2027, or by arrangement.

Do you want to actively help shape our gastronomy area and take on responsibility where your strengths lie? With us, you will work in a self-organized structure with clear roles and responsibilities. Together with your team, you will develop offers, make independent decisions within the scope of your area of responsibility, and put your ideas into practice. Your perspective is wanted: We live a culture of participation in which different viewpoints are welcome and solutions are developed together.

What you drive

• You are responsible for the gastronomy area of GZ Witikon
• You run the GZ-Kafi and are responsible for assortment, offers, purchasing, and preparation – with a focus on simple cuisine, snacks, and drinks
• You ensure food hygiene, manage the warehouse, and ensure the maintenance and cleaning of the gastronomic infrastructure
• You instruct hourly employees, individuals in non-profit assignments, and volunteers, and coordinate their assignments
• You help plan the culinary offerings for GZ events and support the implementation – also occasionally on weekends

What characterizes you

• You have completed vocational training in the hospitality industry and bring experience in the independent management of a gastronomy offering
• You have experience in budgeting and pricing
• You take responsibility for your roles, contribute your expertise, like to try new things, and value cooperation at eye level, feedback, and joint further development
• You are proficient in using Microsoft 365 and have good German language skills
• You maintain an overview and set priorities even in a varied working day
