Specialized Manager Patient Quality and Safety (60–100 %)

H+ Vos hôpitaux is the national association of public and private hospitals and clinics in Switzerland, headquartered in Berne.

For our Patient Quality/Safety department, we are looking for, as soon as possible or by arrangement, a specialized Manager Patient Quality and Safety (60–100 %).

Your main missions

• Develop, coordinate and negotiate national quality solutions in order to establish and evolve effective and widely supported quality standards for hospitals and clinics. You are responsible for the implementation and development of interprofessional review procedures in psychiatry (IRP) and coordinate those in the acute somatic field in collaboration with the Initiative Qualité Médecine (IQM) in Germany. You lead the national project in preparation "new model of Swiss hospital quality reporting".
• Represent the interests of H+ and its members on health and quality-related issues, by actively participating in national bodies, projects and programs, as well as by bringing your expertise to the association's communication. You chair the IRP technical commission.
• Ensure opinion leadership within the sector, by preparing dossiers on themes relating to health policy and professional expertise, and by informing members in a targeted manner while involving them in reflections. You are notably responsible for H+'s positions on the following health policy themes: management of minimum case numbers and mortality rates, as well as the quality of medical indications.
• Promote the exchange of knowledge and experience within H+ and with external partners, by organizing and facilitating specialized events, thematic days and training sessions, as well as by developing and maintaining strong networks. You are responsible for the annual organization of experience exchange meetings (ERFA) dedicated to interprofessional reviews in psychiatry and materiovigilance.
• Ensure effective communication and provide specialized support, both within the H+ secretariat and to H+ members, authorities and other stakeholders.

Your profile

• Degree from a higher education institution (university/HES) in public health, health sciences, medicine, nursing sciences, social sciences or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, particularly in the areas of quality development, patient safety and health policy.
• Experience in the management and coordination of complex projects, as well as in the development and implementation of sectoral solutions and programs.
• Excellent knowledge of quality development in hospitals and clinics, as well as quality management systems (QMS) applied to hospital establishments.
• Experience in writing and revising position papers, positioning documents, reports and specialized publications.
• Excellent communication, group facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Ease in collaborating with various stakeholders (members, authorities, partner organizations).
• Experience in organizing and conducting events and training sessions.
• Project management skills, including in steering processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• High sense of responsibility, initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Political sense, strategic vision and diplomatic skill.
• Stress resistance and flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Languages

• Excellent command of French or German, both spoken and written, including in negotiations.
• Good to very good knowledge of the other language.
• Knowledge of Italian is an asset.

IT skills

• Mastery of common Microsoft 365 applications.
• High ease of use with new tools and digital platforms.
