Data Engineer # (m/w/d) freelance/in temporary employment for a project Zürich Start date: immediately Reference number: 884308/1 Tasks ### • Development, setup and maintenance of data pipelines for processing production and test data • Analysis, verification and quality assurance of product and process data to comply with technical specifications • Processing of large amounts of data from industrial production and test environments. Integration and preparation of unstructured data sources • Development and optimization of ETL processes for automated data processing • Implementation of data engineering and data science solutions along the entire data lifecycle • Collaboration with production, development and specialist teams to identify data-driven optimization potential • Development of Python-based applications and scripts for data evaluation and automation • Ensuring software quality through versioning, documentation and best practices in software development • Support for the further development of the existing data architecture and Big Data landscape • Use and further development of workflow and data orchestration solutions (e.g. Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi) • Analysis of complex datasets from machines, production facilities and test stands to generate reliable insights Profile ### • Completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field • Solid practical experience in the field of Data Engineering, Data Science or software development • Very good Python skills with a focus on data processing, automation and data pipelines • Experience in setting up and operating ETL processes and data integration solutions • Secure handling of Git and modern software versioning systems • Experience in processing large amounts of data and complex datasets • Professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the manufacturing industry, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering • Fluent English skills in writing and speaking, German would be a plus Benefits ### • Exciting project with a globally leading technology company • Work on innovative data science and data engineering solutions in an industrial environment • Responsibility over the entire data lifecycle (Full Stack Data Science)
