Head of Facilities Management and Technology Schule Kügeliloo, 100 %

We are looking for a Head of Facilities Management and Technology for the Tagesschule Kügeliloo, starting 01. Januar 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• Personnel and technical leadership of the facilities management team, including employee appraisal, deployment planning, as well as responsibility for occupational safety in the school.
• Overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and servicing of the entire school facility, including technical systems, machines, and furniture, as well as for processing malfunctions, defects, and emergencies.
• Responsibility for all cleaning processes and the maintenance of the outdoor areas, especially maintenance and deep cleaning, the care of the playground, and ensuring winter services.
• Organization and provision of the infrastructure for school events as well as for external use during school operations.
• Safety officer of the school.
• Close cooperation with the school management, the school team, and municipal offices (e.g., Schulamt, Immobilien, Grün Stadt Zürich) as well as participation in meetings.

Profile ##

• Completed manual-technical vocational training with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education as Hauswart/in, as well as sound experience in building technology and handling complex controls.
• Several years of professional and leadership experience, ideally in a school environment, combined with a high service orientation and resilience.
• Strong social and communication skills, especially when dealing with a multilingual team, as well as enjoyment in working with school management, the school team, and students in a lively school environment.
• Good IT user skills and confident handling of internal programs (e.g., peps.NET).
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing.

About us ##

The Stadt Zürich is divided into seven school districts. The Schulkreis Zürich-Glattal includes the quarters Affoltern, Seebach, and Oerlikon. Around 7200 children are taught in a total of 19 schools.

Your place of work is the Tagesschule Kügeliloo in Zürich Nord in the Oerlikon quarter. The school facility includes 17 primary and 3 kindergarten classes in day school operation as well as a sports hall. Other kindergartens and after-school care centers in the quarter also belong to the school operations.

The versatile school facility features various office and group rooms in addition to the classrooms, as well as spacious outdoor areas. Individual areas of the facility are also used by associations in the evening.

The Head of Facilities Management & Technology leads a team of eleven employees in the functions of Fachmann/-frau Betriebsunterhalt, Ablöser (Vereinswart), and Reinigungsangestellte/r.
