Head of Chancery / Municipal Clerk

Directly subordinate to the Mayor, you will lead the municipal chancery with the areas of chancery services, resident services, social services, libraries as well as legal services with a total of 18 employees. You plan and accompany the business of the municipal executive, the municipal council and the municipal assembly. This includes the preparation and follow-up of meetings, minutes taking as well as the editorial processing of messages, motions and resolutions. Together with the legal service, you ensure the legally secure processing of business. Furthermore, you are responsible for elections and votes, official publications, the municipal archive as well as various permit and service processes. You develop the chancery further, optimize processes, drive digitalization forward and participate in cross-departmental projects.

For this versatile task, you have a sound education and further training in the field of public administration, municipal clerkship, public management, law or business administration. You bring several years of leadership experience within a municipal administration, a municipal chancery, a presidential department, a legal service or a comparable function. A good understanding of administrative and municipal law, security in dealing with political authorities and stylistically proficient German are required.
