About Our Client ##

For our client, a healthcare company in the public sector, in the Greater Zurich Area, we are looking for an experienced Category Manager (a) for the IT product group, with a workload of 60-80%. Start in November for the next 9 months with a high probability of takeover.

Job Description ##

• Responsibility for the planning and execution of IT procurement and award projects, taking into account public procurement law (IVöB).
• Development of tender strategies, definition of evaluation criteria, and ensuring a transparent and audit-proof award process.
• Analysis of procurement volume, identification of optimization potential, and development of measures for cost and supplier consolidation.
• Establishment and further development of product group strategies for various IT areas in close cooperation with the IT specialist department.
• Conducting market and supplier analyses as well as developing sustainable procurement and sourcing concepts.
• Negotiation and management of complex IT contracts, including license, service, and framework agreements.
• Ensuring professional contract and deadline management in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
• Further development of the supplier portfolio, promotion of strategic partnerships, and optimization of the supplier landscape.

The Successful Applicant ##

• Proven practice in award procedures according to IVöB is an absolute MUST -- several independently managed procedures, including open or selective procedures
• 5-8 years of experience in Category Management/strategic procurement, of which at least 2 in the strategic procurement of IT (e.g., licenses, Cloud & SaaS, Security, Software, external IT services)
• Independent negotiation and drafting of contracts
• Confident handling of spend data (20 Mio spend volume)
• Business fluent German in speaking and writing
• Independent way of working and teamwork
