Papirec SA, a company of the Barec Group, a long-standing family business and one of the most important suppliers of complete recycling solutions in Switzerland, is looking for a:

Site Manager / Operational Manager ##

Main responsibilities of the position:

Operational supervision and coordination of the Geneva site; the site manager performs his main mission of general coordination and organization. He is also the liaison person between all departments and between them and the management.

Through his personality, he ensures the development of the employees' entrepreneurial spirit by motivating them through a clear and precise distribution of missions as well as through constant control of their execution.

• Responsible for the site's vehicles and equipment: services, maintenance, and management of unforeseen events
• Responsible for the proper organization of the site. He analyzes situations and organizes the means to be implemented for the smooth running of work, and proposes solutions adapted to each intervention site.
• He coordinates his actions with the sales department and proceeds with the reporting of information.
• He supervises and coaches the teams in the operational sectors of the site.
• He guarantees the cleanliness of the site, the maintenance of machines and equipment, as well as safety.
• Ensures the good quality of relationships between all people working on the site. He listens to his colleagues.
• He oversees the aspects of regulations and ensures they are applied (safety-hygiene-labor law-internal training).
• He actively participates in analyses (RECY), controls (RECY), and production tests,
• Controls and guarantees the quality of goods at entry and exit.
• Management of RPLP cards, organization of collections and stock management (inventories)
• Operational presence to support the teams
• Occasional and as-needed replacement of various workstations on site, including weighing: Versatility, agility, and flexibility
• Driving machinery & operating production facilities according to needs
• All other work necessary for the smooth running of the company

Profile sought:

• CFC in recycling or training deemed equivalent
• Forklift driving license and experience in driving loaders
• Confirmed experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the field of recycling or waste recovery
• Solid field experience and good understanding of operational realities
• Several years of experience in a similar function or with operational responsibilities
• Excellent command of French, any other language being an asset
• Good command of standard IT tools (Windows, MS Office), indispensable
• Charismatic, pragmatic personality endowed with natural authority
• Ability to set a clear framework, ensure instructions are respected, and make fair and assertive decisions
• Solution-oriented mindset, capable of efficiently managing unforeseen events and making decisions quickly
• Flexible, reactive, and organized, you know how to manage priorities and adapt to field requirements
• Good listening skills and ability to unite a team while maintaining a relationship of trust with employees
