Tasks

• You accompany and (co-)lead strategic and operative projects with a focus on increasing efficiency, production control and process improvements in the Operations department
• You drive automation and digitalization projects forward and optimize IT-supported processes together with specialist departments and IT
• You use data and reports to support management decisions, develop meaningful analyses and take on a superuser role for reporting tools in the Operations department
• You work closely with other operations units as an operations interface and support business needs with data and analyses
• You identify potential for improvement in processes and systems and implement measures in close cooperation with management to achieve defined target specifications
• You plan and control your projects and work packages, manage milestones, risks, dependencies and stakeholder communication and maintain an overview of priorities even in a dynamic environment

Team

As an Operations Business Analyst (m/f/d) with a project management focus, 80-100% in the Operational Risk & Functional Management group, you will drive the optimization of our operations at UBS Card Center, from production control to automation to data-based management decisions. You will work closely with Operations Management as well as Sales, Product, Risk, Compliance and Technology and make a direct contribution to the efficiency and quality of our credit card business.

Skills and Experience

Must-have criteria:

• Completed studies in business informatics, business administration or a comparable technical/quantitative field of study
• Several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role with a focus on processes, data and reporting
• Experience in dealing with databases, data analyses and reporting as well as working with datasets to support decisions
• Good knowledge of Tableau or Power BI as well as SQL as well as Confluence and Jira
• Strongly developed analytical and problem-solving oriented thinking: You can structure complex, sometimes still unclear questions and translate them into actionable insights and requirements
• Collaboration & working style: You work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels, build trusting relationships and remain focused, flexible and constructive even with multiple parallel tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Fluent German skills and good English skills in speaking and writing

Nice-to-have criteria:

• Experience in operations environments (e.g. payment transactions, card processes, back office control)
• Experience in the introduction or further development of production control tools (e.g. capacity planning, monitoring, KPI dashboards)
• Sound project management experience, ideally in interdisciplinary projects
• Visionary mindset and passion for innovation and modern technologies - especially for the use of AI and GenAI in the data and workflow context
• Curiosity about how AI can help build, deliver and optimize workflows - combined with sound judgment, i.e. you validate results and ensure that they are in line with policies, risk standards and principles of ethical use
• Interest in digitalization, automation and process management as well as in working at the interface between business and IT
