• Support the planning, situational monitoring, and debriefing of operations, missions, and support services of the army, and process assigned sub-areas independently
• Create, consolidate, and further develop leadership products along the staff control process, as well as operate and maintain the deployed leadership and information systems
• Develop, coordinate, and continuously further develop the staff service regulations for the respective Joint Operational Planning Group
• Compose well-founded contributions for situation reports, briefings, orders, and decision-making bases and coordinate them with internal and external partners
• Accompany projects for the further development of leadership instruments, processes, and systems and represent the interests of the army's command service in working and specialist groups

What makes you unique

• University or university of applied sciences degree at Bachelor level or a higher technical or business administration education with several years of relevant professional experience
• Sound experience in military staff work and as a staff officer; military rank Major or higher
• Knowledge in project management as well as experience in participating in or leading demanding projects
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills as well as the ability to prepare complex content precisely and appropriately for the target audience
• High digital affinity and very good knowledge of MS Office and military leadership and information systems; good knowledge of a second official language as well as English skills at level B2

Kommando Operationen (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and missions of the Swiss Army. Kdo Op includes, among others, the Luftwaffe, the Heer, the four territorial divisions, the Kompetenzzentrum SWISSINT, the Kommando Spezialkräfte, and the Militärpolizei. Around 40 % of the approx. 2'500 employees are civilly employed -- from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civil professions -- and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for new talent: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
