As Product Manager Petcare, you combine animal nutrition, Product Management, and Marketing. You further develop an important area of our Petcare assortment, analyze market and business potentials, and ensure together with Sales and our industry partners that good products become successful market activities. What awaits you You take responsibility for your product area and actively shape its technical and commercial development. In doing so… you manage and develop an important assortment area of our Petcare portfolio with a focus on animal nutrition and therapeutic diets. you develop annual marketing and activity plans and implement the resulting measures together with Sales and Marketing. you analyze market, competition, customer needs as well as turnover, margin, and assortment developments and derive concrete measures and business potentials from them. you accompany products throughout their entire life cycle – from evaluation and market launch to assortment, positioning, and price adjustments. in operational Product Management, you ensure high quality of product and article data, coordinate article mutations and new introductions, and take care of price calculations and other assortment-relevant topics. you maintain and develop the cooperation with our suppliers and industry partners and coordinate the relevant topics surrounding your product area. you develop campaigns, promotions, and sales promotion measures and create technically sound marketing, product, and sales texts. you are the technical contact person for your product area and conduct product instruction and training for our field service. you accompany Sales with selected Key Accounts and strategically important customers and support them in technical discussions and product presentations. you support the planning and implementation of trade fairs, events, and other customer activities and represent your product area on-site as well. you work closely with our international industry partners as well as internal interfaces and contribute customer and market feedback to the further development of our assortment. What you bring with you We are not looking for the one perfect CV. For us, what is decisive is that you combine technical interest in animal nutrition with commercial thinking. Ideally, you bring one of these backgrounds: a degree in veterinary medicine, animal nutrition, animal sciences, or a comparable professional qualification and an interest in developing yourself in Product Management, or experience in Product or Category Management, ideally in a pet food, pet care, veterinary, or animal health environment, combined with a good understanding and a strong affinity for animal nutrition and animal health. In addition… you enjoy developing a product area entrepreneurially and bring a good sense for marketing and market potentials. you can prepare technical content in an understandable and convincing way for Sales and customers. you enjoy working with numbers and can derive concrete priorities from market and business developments. you enjoy presenting and enjoy exchanging ideas with field service, customers, and industry partners. you work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner and actively contribute your ideas. you have very good German and English skills; [missing word] is a plus.
