Ref 2578977 | Date: 15 Sept 2026 Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud The HEIG-VD is advertising the position of Associate HES Professor in Building and Neighborhood Energetics The Department of Industrial Technologies ([TIN](< >)) trains engineers in the fields of energy, electronics, automation, and industrial systems. Its Institute of Energy ([IE](< >)) conducts applied research and development (R&D) projects in the field of energy transformation. From smart grids to power electronics, including industrial and building energetics, we shape sustainable solutions for a more responsible world. ### MAIN MISSIONS * Teach engineering students at the Bachelor level in the HES track << Energies and Environmental Techniques >> and at the MSE Master level for the << Energy and Environment >> orientation * Supervise diploma theses and student projects at different levels and contribute to the development of continuing education courses * Develop and carry out an applied research, development, and service (R&D) activity in partnership with professional and academic environments in the field of building and neighborhood energetics and its associated fields (thermal physics of buildings, geothermal probes, building monitoring, ...) * Submit funding applications to obtain third-party funds to develop research activities (OFEN, Innosuisse, for example) * Participate in the activities of the HEIG-VD and the HES-SO in the specialty field ### DESIRED PROFILE * Master's in engineering or physics, a doctorate is an asset * At least 5 years of professional experience, particularly in R&D projects in the field of building energetics and its associated fields * Taste for pedagogy, training, and scientific and technical teaching * Ability to develop an R&D project activity in collaboration with industry and academic environments, including notably the acquisition of funding and team management * Good knowledge of the local, regional, and national industrial fabric, specialized engineering offices * Good industrial and academic network, ability to develop it and contribute to the visibility of the Institute of Energy * Proficiency in French and English, German is an asset Activity rate: 80-100%, to be agreed Entry into office: 1st January 2027 or to be agreed Information: Marc Kunze, Head of the TIN department, Tel.
