We develop the strategic direction of economic policy, implement it in legislation, and provide sound analyses of the national and international economic situation. As a fundamental economic department, we support central policy areas and ensure that economic policy decisions are fact-based and future-oriented. The Department for Growth and Competition Policy analyzes long-term economic development as well as the success factors of a prosperous business location. It is also responsible for the competition policy framework conditions.
