SPCH150 Service des ponts et chaussées \- Office des cours Head of Office 80% to 100% SPCH150 Service des ponts et chaussées \- Office des cours d'eau et des dangers naturels (OEDN) The Office des cours d'eau et des dangers naturels (OEDN) is responsible for the maintenance and development of the canton's watercourses, their revitalization, the management of issues related to natural hazards linked to water or geology, as well as the management of hydraulic concessions and the use of the public water domain. In this capacity, it is involved in the implementation of the cantonal climate plan and supporting the canton in the field of climate change. Your missions You direct all activities of the OEDN and supervise those of the two sectors that compose it, namely the lakes and watercourses sector and the natural hazards sector. You participate in the management of the SPCH and the steering of strategic files concerning the service and the office. As a specialist, you develop, implement, and monitor short-term and long-term action plans at the office level, including the program-conventions concluded with the Confederation for revitalizations and protection against natural hazards, as well as the cantonal climate plan. Furthermore, you ensure the technical and financial monitoring of water abstraction files and concessions for the use of the public water domain, in close collaboration with the other involved State services, as well as the management and coordination of geodata. Your profile An environmental engineer graduated from an EPF, or holding a title and experience deemed equivalent, you have several years of professional experience as an active manager in a consultancy, a construction company, or a public or private administration. You possess strong skills in the management of administrative and technical personnel, and present all the aptitudes to lead multidisciplinary teams. In addition, you have good knowledge of steering important projects and works, and know how to work independently. Endowed with a keen sense of responsibility and human relations, you also demonstrate availability, endurance, and perseverance. An excellent communicator, you are comfortable with different audiences and show an interest in the public service and political life of the canton of Neuchâtel. Knowledge of German is indispensable.
