In this role, you contribute to the effective and proactive risk control of the bank, undertake technical, coordinative, and project-related tasks with bank-wide impact, and work closely with specialist departments, audit bodies, and other stakeholders.

You will

• support the Head of Risk Control in the management and strategic further development of risk control
• assess the overall risk situation of the bank, create risk and management reports as well as decision-making bases for the Executive Board, Risk and Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors
• independently manage selected risk types and governance topics and further develop Risk Governance, risk policy, risk culture, and ICS
• assess new products, processes, and/or significant projects from a risk and regulatory perspective as well as critically analyze controls and operational risks
• support specialist departments and employees as a sparring partner and technical coach as well as undertake demanding ad-hoc analyses and special clarifications
• perform deputy tasks for the Head of Risk Control as well as for the CRO within the agreed scope
• gradually assume additional technical, coordinative, and leadership-related responsibility – with the perspective of later taking over the leadership of Risk Control

You bring

• a university degree or an equivalent higher vocational qualification in business administration, banking, finance, or a related field; further training in Risk Management, in auditing, or in external auditing is an advantage
• several years of professional experience in the banking environment as well as sound experience in risk control, risk management, audit, compliance, finance/controlling, ALM/treasury, or lending business
• very good knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially FINMA regulations, and a broad understanding of the risk management of a retail bank
• the ability to assess complex matters holistically, to critically question risks, and to derive pragmatic, effective solutions
• experience in co-shaping cross-departmental projects as well as a confident appearance towards specialist departments, management, audit bodies, and other stakeholders
• initiative and decisiveness as well as enjoyment in taking responsibility, passing on knowledge, and driving topics forward technically and coordinatively
• very good IT and data competence and can communicate well in French and English
