Our client is an established, owner-managed "freight forwarding boutique" based in Basel. For many years, the company has stood for tailor-made transport and logistics solutions with a focus on the international transport of new vehicles. The demanding customer base includes companies, automobile dealers, private individuals, and collectors, among others.

The focus of the business activity lies on the organization and execution of complex transports. From collection abroad via shipping and customs clearance to timely delivery in Switzerland. Various transport solutions such as container or RoRo shipping as well as individual special solutions are offered.

In view of the upcoming departure of a long-standing employee, we are looking for an engaged and entrepreneurially thinking personality who brings enjoyment to a versatile function in a small, well-coordinated team with short decision-making paths.

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for financial accounting including accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as collaboration in payment transactions
• Posting and reconciliation of bank accounts including analysis and clarification of discrepancies
• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Recording and posting of expense reports as well as cash movements in CHF and EUR
• Creation, checking, and processing of outgoing invoices as well as general invoicing
• Independent correspondence with customers, suppliers, and business partners in German and English

Your profile:

• Completed commercial basic training as well as several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
• Sound specialist knowledge in finance and accounting as well as proven balance sheet proficiency
• Stylistically confident German as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
• Proficient use of common MS Office applications, especially Excel
• You convince through an independent, structured, and proactive way of working as well as a professional appearance and a strong service and customer orientation
• You desire a long-term perspective and are in a stable working environment
