The Service jeunesse et cohésion sociale is in charge of, on one hand, activities related to childhood and youth, neighborhoods, extracurricular services, and the youth dental clinic. It also directs policies for youth, integration, the housing office, social cohesion, seniors, and the fight against precariousness. In connection with numerous associations, it brings together approximately 250 employees in very varied professional fields.
Afin de répondre aux besoins des enfants et de leur famille, la ville d’Yverdon-les-Bains is putting up for tender for the Service jeunesse et cohésion sociale positions of:
Homework Supervisors
Your essential tasks:
Supervise and support primary school students in completing their homework;
Guarantee a calm atmosphere conducive to learning;
Demonstrate patience and benevolence;
Monitor attendance and inform the parents of absent children;
Collaborate with the teaching staff and managers.
What we expect from you:
Be at least 20 years old and have experience with children;
Be comfortable with basic school knowledge and master French (oral and written);
Ability to supervise a group of children with benevolence;
Interpersonal ease and adaptability;
Sense of responsibility, punctuality, autonomy;
Interest in education and the supervision of children;
Available every day from Monday to Thursday for 1 hour after classes end, i.e., from 15h00 and from 13h30 on Wednesdays (only applications from people available every day will be considered);
Commit to an entire school year with the possibility of extension;
Live in Yverdon-les-Bains or surroundings.
The activity is paid hourly and represents a minimum of 4 hours per week. It does not take place during school holidays.
