Microsoft Fabric Engineer - Modern Data Platforms (m/f/d)

Tasks Implementation of demanding customer projects in the data and cloud environment with a focus on Microsoft Fabric Construction and further development of scalable data platforms based on Microsoft Fabric Working with Fabric Workspaces, Deployment-Pipelines, OneLake and Lakehouse architectures Development and optimization of data pipelines and ELT processes with Fabric Data Factory, Fabric Data Pipelines and Azure Data Factory Processing and transformation of data with Python Implementation of data modeling projects with Data Vault, 3NF or Dimensional Modeling Integration of modern Azure data services into existing and new data platforms Construction and further development of CI/CD and deployment processes with Git Modernization and automation of existing data systems Analysis of technical requirements and development of suitable solutions for data-driven business cases Technical support of customers in solution discussions and workshops Engagement with current technology trends in the areas of Data, AI and Microsoft Fabric Requirements At least two years of professional experience in Data Engineering At least one year of practical experience with Microsoft Fabric Good to very good knowledge of SQL and Python Experience with Fabric Workspaces, Deployment-Pipelines, OneLake and Lakehouse Experience with Fabric Data Factory or Data Pipelines Experience with data modeling, for example Data Vault, 3NF or Dimensional Modeling Experience with Git, version control as well as CI/CD and deployment processes Very good German and English skills; Swiss German is a plus Enjoyment of collaborating with customers and colleagues as well as developing practical solutions A plus, but not a must: Experience with Databricks Knowledge of dbt, Data Quality and Testing Experience with Monitoring, Logging or Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform Knowledge of Power BI Experience with SAP or ERP data Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka or Event Hubs Experience with authorization concepts Languages Very good German and English skills; Swiss German is a plus
