The Office of Energy and Transport is the cantonal competence center for issues in the fields of energy and public transport. In the field of public transport, we are responsible for the strategic planning and mutual coordination of all public transport in the canton of Graubünden. We coordinate rail and road public transport and are responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of projects for future-oriented public transport. Good connections to the national and international rail network as well as regular and frequent connections in regional and metropolitan transport are essential for the preservation and development of the living, tourist, and economic space of Graubünden.

We are looking for the Office of Energy and Transport, starting from 1 December 2026 or by agreement, an economist for the public transport procurement procedure.

Your area of responsibility

• Implementation of the procurement procedure for regional public transport (TPR) for certain public transport companies (road and rail)
• Handling complex questions in business management and financial law related to public transport
• Development of service agreements with transport companies, support and monitoring of their implementation
• Handling complex strategic and conceptual questions concerning public transport in the canton of Graubünden
• Responsibility for concluding target agreements with transport companies
• Representation of the canton of Graubünden in cantonal and national working groups related to public transport

What we expect from you

• Passion for strong and economic public transport in the canton of Graubünden
• University degree or degree from a university of applied sciences in business administration or economics
• Marked interest in strategic issues
• Experience in the autonomous handling of conceptual issues
• Knowledge of public transport or a comparable complex sector (e.g., energy or health sector) is an advantage
• Structured and reliable way of working with great autonomy as well as a strong awareness of quality
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration, ability to assert oneself, negotiation skills, and ease in contact with different interest groups
• Impeccable mastery of the German language, both oral and written
• Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
