Canton Schaffhausen, Sozialamt The Sozialamt of the Canton Schaffhausen fulfills tasks in the areas of victim support, social assistance, services for adults with disabilities, inpatient child and youth services, violence prevention, protection against violence, and equality. Furthermore, on behalf of the Confederation, the office performs tasks related to the accommodation, support, integration promotion, and material assistance of persons from the asylum and refugee sector. Due to a new vacancy, we are looking for, effective immediately or by arrangement, a Social Worker for Asylum and Refugee Support (m/f) 60–100 % What awaits you • Support and assistance for persons from the asylum and refugee sector in their linguistic, professional, and social integration • Responsibility for case management as well as for personal and economic social assistance according to cantonal guidelines • Personal counseling and triage into needs-oriented services • Provision of information from various areas of life • Cooperation and networking with specialist agencies, authorities, volunteers, course offerings, and other organizations • Co-design and further development of the social counseling and integration area What you bring with you • University degree in Social Work or equivalent training • Professional experience in the area of economic social assistance as well as in the support of persons from the asylum and refugee sector. • High communication skills as well as precise oral and written expression • Empathy, resilience, assertiveness, teamwork skills • Enjoyment of interacting with people from different cultures • Good user knowledge of MS-Office and ideally the case management program Tutoris We offer you • A meaningful and responsible activity in an intercultural context with high individual responsibility • Flexible working hours, partially home office possible • A motivated and committed team with an appreciative and open team culture • Further training opportunities and fair salary structure according to cantonal guidelines The Canton Schaffhausen as an employer The Kantonale Verwaltung Schaffhausen provides services in a wide variety of areas for the public, companies, and private individuals.
