Porter

For the porter's lodge / reception of the Kantonsspital, we are looking for a female or male employee on an hourly basis, fixed-term until 31 July 2027, starting 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

What awaits you

• Providing information to patients, visitors and staff 24 hours a day during 3-shift operation
• Operating the telephone switchboard outside of regular working hours
• Monitoring/operating security and alerting systems
• Various administrative tasks, incl. case opening and patient data
• Shift times: 06.30-14.40, 14.30-22.40 or 22.30-06.40

(all shifts must be performed)

• Working days: Monday - Sunday

How you will move us forward

• Commercial basic training or professional experience in a similar position
• Flexibility for irregular working hours and assignments, especially including night shifts
• Good IT user skills
• Resilience and independence
• Neat appearance as well as high service orientation
• Very good German skills, further foreign language skills desired

The Spitäler Schaffhausen include the Kantonsspital, the Psychiatrischen Dienste, the Praxen Radiologie und Kardiologie Posthof Neuhausen as well as the Praxis Neurologie Schaffhausen Zentrum. With over 1,700 employees, we secure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatient and 90,000 outpatient patients. In addition, we are an important training site in the canton.
