Accountant with closing proficiency

For our client, an established company in the service industry, we are looking for a committed, reliable and experienced accountant with closing proficiency 80-100%. The position is to be filled temporarily for six months for the time being. The possibility of continued employment or permanent employment will be evaluated during the assignment. A varied activity with high independence, scope for creativity and a motivated team awaits you. Due to the well-connected location in the Zurich metropolitan area, you can easily reach the place of work with all available means of transport.

Your tasks at the new employer:

• You carry out accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting including document entry, invoice verification, payment transactions and account reconciliations
• You independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to OR and Swiss GAAP FER and ensure their timely processing
• You are responsible for period-related accruals, provisions, valuations and other closing entries
• You prepare VAT returns and support tax-related queries
• You contribute to the optimization and further development of digital accounting processes
• You act as a competent contact person for internal specialist departments, the external auditing body and other external contact persons

You offer your new employer:

• You have a commercial basic training, ideally with further training in accounting and/or with a federal professional diploma in finance and accounting
• You bring several years of professional experience in financial accounting as well as sound experience in the independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• You have good knowledge of accounting according to OR, ideally also according to Swiss GAAP FER
